Former wrestler and retired Olympic Track athlete Anthony Famiglietti ran a half mile on his treadmill in 1:52, declared it a World Record (at the age of 41) and offered a challenge to anyone else calling it the #halfmilechallenge
Being a former NCAA National Qualifier in the half mile 20 years ago and a lifetime personal best of 1:52, I decided to see what the old legs have (43 and half years old to be exact). Jokingly I posted on Instagram the odds I could run under 2 minutes on a downhill and surpringly many people said yes. That for sure made me feel good about myself but the run itself simply hurt! Check out the video below for the final outcome. I plan to give it another shot and believe I can come closer...What do you think?
